HOW DO I BOOK A GROUP SESSION?

Booking in for a group session is easy. Simply click on Book a Class at the top of the page, then “View Timetable” on your preferred location. You will then be re-directed to Mindbody Online where you can sign-up. If you prefer to book a class using your smartphone you can use the SIN Fitness App for any location;

Once you’ve signed up online, keep an eye out for your welcome email with a link to sign your health waiver. Don’t forget to pack a towel and a drink bottle and we look forward to meeting you at your scheduled class.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING DO YOU OFFER?

At SIN Fitness we believe variety is the key to long term success. To ensure this success, we have developed 5 main session types, 3 of which are delivered 8 times on a 6 week rotating basis. Our cardio classes, FRS and HIBT are delivered 4 times each over the 6 weeks. Session #5 - our mobility class (MFR) is always smack bang in the middle of each week to help keep the body limber and in balance. But don’t worry too much about the logistics, we’ll take care of the programming, all you have to do is book in on your phone app and turn up to class!

The classes we offer are a mixture of high intensity bodyweight training, running technique and agility, functional resistance training and boxing for fitness.

This holistic approach to training ensures that not only all body parts are trained differently during each class but that all energy systems are also trained throughout the week. This will help to build strong lean and fit bodies that are agile and functional, not big and bulky (yuk!).

Our group fitness classes are engaging, challenging and fun - we see it as a social event for fitness. And yes, they are great FUN!

HOW MUCH DO GROUP SESSIONS COST?

All pricing for group sessions is on located on our locations page.

Outdoor group fitness classes cost a fraction more than working out at the gym, and significantly less than 1-on-1 personal training. The great thing though, is the planning is already done for you, plus you get the added benefit of support and motivation from the rest of your workout buddies. As our motto states; we are stronger together.

Our Monthly Unlimited Membership is our most popular option. It gives you unlimited access to any/all sessions on the timetable. All memberships and casual options can be purchased through our online store or though our smartphone app;

There are no joining fees to get started. Memberships are either paid monthly (most popular option) or weekly/fortnightly.

A one (1) month minimum applies to all membership contracts, including Weekly and Fortnightly memberships, after which same can be cancelled upon seven (7) days notice in advance of the next period – simply contact us to make any changes.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Head over to our locations page to see your preferred venue to train. There is also a map, displaying class locations for different times of the day. If you have any questions at all, simply pick up the phone and call.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

All you need are your runners, your favourite workout clothes, a towel and a drink bottle. We will take care of the rest.

If you become a regular at our (B)oxing (F)or (F)itness classes you will be encouraged to purchase your own cotton-inners and hand-wraps for only $10 (total). This is for your safety and hygiene. Your own boxing gloves are also available for purchase should you wish.

It’s always handy to pack a jacket for after so you don’t get a chill.

If it’s your 1st session then please make sure you have signed your Health Waiver (sent via email once you’ve signed up online). Please contact us if you have any further questions.

DO I NEED TO BOOK A CLASS IN ADVANCE?

Yes, well at least it’s in your best interests to. This helps us control the number of participants in each class so our wonderful trainers can give you their complete attention and, just as importantly, we need to make sure we have the right amount of equipment for everybody.

Booking in advance also helps us prepare for anyone participating who may have special requirements due to health or injury.

If you forget to book and decide to pop-in at the last minute, please feel welcome to give us a try as we may have a free spot but don’t be disappointed if you miss out.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

To answer honestly we are going to have to use a few cliche terms;

You get out what you put in - in other words, if you come along to each class and are enthusiastic with your exercise then you are definitely going to get a better result than someone who turns up but then simply goes through the motions. This doesn’t mean giving 100% to the point each time where you feel like you’re going to die (we definitely wouldn’t want that), but simply being true to yourself and doing the best you can. We all have our good days and bad.

Results will vary from person to person - now this statement is 100% true. Please never compare your results to that of someone else. We all have different genes, we all lead different lifestyles, we all eat differently, we all have different commitments, we all have different sleep patterns etc. If you turn up regularly, follow the program as it has been written and enjoy yourself while you’re there, then be patient, the results will come.

There is no magic bullet when it comes to exercise – there are 7 days in the week, 24 hours in a day. That’s 168 hours in 1 full week. If you train 3-4 times every week, that’s still less than 7% of your total week. The rest of the time is literally, up to you. The food you decide to put into your body, the amount of alcohol you drink, the amount of sleep you get every night, even the amount of water you drink will all directly reflect on your results.

A picture tells a thousand words - this is probably not the best term to use here but you’ll see what we mean in a minute. If weight-loss or a change in body compositions is what you are after, then don’t just rely on the scales. Your weight will fluctuate and yes it is true, muscle weighs more than fat, well at least it is more dense. Take a photo in your favourite workout gear, something modest, every 1-2 months, so that you can compare apples with apples. Weigh yourself, weekly preferably on the same day/time. And lastly have your trainer record some measurements for you. All of these things combined will tell a better picture than any individually.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?

Depending on the extent of the injury, there is usually always a workaround. The key here is to work around your injuries and not through them ie. if lunging causes your injured knee to hurt more but squatting doesn’t, then that’s easy, avoid lunges for as long as they cause undue pain, instead do squats or something similar like bridges. Don’t worry, your trainer will take care of the options for you.

Working around an injury may mean avoiding specific exercise altogether or reducing the use of specific body part altogether ie. push-ups or dips cause too much pain in the injured shoulder then we could have you do bicep curls or tricep extensions at least until the injury repairs.

We are happy to help wherever we can and whenever we can’t we will refer you to someone that can.

HOW BIG ARE CLASS SIZES?

We prefer to keep the class sizes to a reasonable number, that way our wonderful trainers can keep a really good eye on you. If class sizes get too big on a regular basis (18+) then we will look at either splitting the classes with different trainers or adding extra class times to the timetable.

WHO CREATED THE PROGRAMS?

All of our online programs have been researched and developed by our founder Damian Hopkins. Damian has been working professionally in the fitness industry for almost 10 years as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Expert. Personally, Damian started lifting weights at around 19 (currently 41) and has been honing his skills as a recreational athlete, half & full marathoner ever since.

What he brings to the table is pure experience. All programs have been tried and tested in the field.

He is a qualified running coach and is also a certified Punchfit and Thump Boxing coach.

ARE THE ONLINE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE?

All programs have been designed so you can literally do them anywhere, any time with a minimal amount of equipment necessary. Alternatives to exercises are given where space and equipment use may be limited. Please note that all prices indicated on the website are in Australian dollars $AUD.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE THERE?

IS THE PROGRAM MINE TO KEEP?

Yes, absolutely! We don’t believe in programs that expect you to sign up again and again when they expire.

Sometimes life gets in the way and things don’t always go as originally planned which is why all of our programs are available as a downloadable PDF. We want you to be able to access the program on ALL of your favourite devices and we’d love for you to use the program over and over again.

When  you have had enough or simply want a change, then jump online and grab one of our other amazing programs.

DO THE PROGRAMS SUIT MEN AND WOMEN?

Yes, all programs are designed for both men and women. We don’t believe in programs designed specifically for one sex over the other. Exercise is for everyone!

DO YOU PROVIDE DIETARY ADVICE OR MEAL PLANS?

Not as such. Most of our programs provide tips and tricks for your health and nutrition but we don’t believe in meal plans as they all tend to have finite end. Life doesn’t.

Meal plans are very restrictive and quite often very difficult to follow.

The tips provided will help you make better decisions with your health and nutrition, after all, knowledge is power.
